Prior to any drone aerial operations, a full pre site survey will be done remotely, to establish the potential permissions required, safety issues and technical filming requirements of the individual production. Richard is fully insured and operates within the guidelines of the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) and holds a current GVC Operational Authorisation from the CAA. Weather conditions are closely monitored before and during any flight operations to insure the optimum chance of flying.

Aerial filming can add dramatic and alternative angles to any production. Whilst the costs can vary greatly depending upon the filming platform used, the results can deliver great production value.

In addition to plenty of experience filming out of a variety of aerial platforms such as helicopters and light aircraft, Richard is a fully qualified drone pilot. Richard operates a Phantom 4 Professional multi rotor and a Mavic 2 Pro which both offer a compact and very capable Aerial filming platform with up to 4k resolution with the integrated camera system. This is a one man system which is quick to assemble for operation and transportation. Richard is also experienced with working as a two man drone team with one person as pilot and the other as camera operator. This can prove vital in more complicated filming scenarios.
